Research Area

Rico’s research focusses on the behavioural analysis of socio-technical transitions. Socio-technical transitions due to technological or socio-cultural innovations constitute a recurring theme in the transportation literature. Yet, a rigorous framework for the behavioural analysis of socio-technical transitions is still to be established. Moreover, Rico’s research interests revolve around the empirical analysis of behavioural change using micro-econometric methods.
